Canikur® is a dietary supplement for the maintenance and support of digestive function in dogs, and may help with digestive upsets.

Canikur® Tablets are a very tasty, gastrointestinal supporting dietetic supplement, which may help ease the symptoms of diarrhoea and recondition the intestines prior to a return to either a diet feed recommended by your dog's veterinary surgeon or normal feed by:

Reconstituting water and electrolyte balance
Prolonging intestinal transit time
Helping to protect gastrointestinal surfaces
Potentially removing pathogenic bacteria

Canikur® tablets for dogs contain meat and liver flavouring. They are highly palatable and will be well received by most dogs.

Ingredients:

Glucose, rice starch, citrus pulp, propane-1,2-diol, sodium chloride, lupine protein hydrolyzed, sodium bicarbonate, potassium chloride, disodium phosphate, sunflower oil.

Additives:

Kaolin, sepiolite 5% (additive technology), lecithin, sodium citrate and 50 ppm antioxidant.

Analytical constituents:

Glucose = 35.5%, Crude fat = 4.0%, Crude protein = 1.4%, Crude ash 16.5%, Ash insoluble in hydrochloric acid = 6.2%, Crude fiber = 3.0%, Sodium = 2.7%, Postassium = 0.8%

Store in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and high temperatures.

Use Canikur® in cases of acute diarrhea and during the recovery period that follows.

Give the following number of tablets, twice a day for two days:

For small dogs it might be necessary to break the tablet into smaller pieces. In rare cases where your dog will not eat the tablet voluntarily, it can be crushed into a powder and suspended in 5ml of warm tap water to form a paste (the empty hole of the Canikur® tablet blister, once the tablet has been removed, corresponds to 5ml of water so can be used as a handy measure). The paste can be fed directly into the dogs mouth.

Alternatively, the dog can be given the crushed Canikur® tablet paste by means of a syringe. in this case, the amount of water to be mixed with a crushed tablet should be 10ml. Once crushed and mixed with water, the paste should be given to the dog immediately and not stored.

If the dog's condition does not improve within 2 days or if the condition worsens, contact your veterinarian.

Canikur® may be used if your dog is on a restricted diet, but always but make sure he has a free access to drinking water.

Before use, it is recommended to seek the advice of a veterinarian.

If your dog is suffering from on-going gastro-intestinal upset, please seek the advice of your veterinary surgeon.
