RUBENAL® is a highly palatable formulation of Rheum officinale. This plant has been documented to help protect healthy renal tissue.
Rubenal® should be used as an early intervention in renal failure to support normal renal functioning and improve the quality of life of pets diagnosed with kidney disease.
RUBENAL® contains Rheum officinale, a medicinal rhubarb derived from the rhizome and roots of the rhubarb plant.
Rheum officinale has been documented in tests with a variety of species to help protect healthy renal tissue.
The main compounds found in Rheum officinale include:
- anthraquinone glycosides (rhein, emodin and aloe-emodin),
- beneficial tannins
- stilbene derivatives
These have been used effectively in eastern medicine for more than 4,000 years.

Rubenal® 75mg:
