Vetoquinol Care Urine Care gel is a supplement low in magnesium that has an acidifying effect on urine, thus helping to make urinary conditions less favourable for struvite crystal and stone formation in cats and dogs.
Glucose syrup, malt, soybean oil, fish oil, sugar cane molasses, hydrolysed pork collagen.
Additives / kg: Amino Acids: DL-methionine (3c301) 80 000 mg.
Analytical constituents: crude fat 27.4%, moisture 13.7%, crude protein 4.9%, crude fibre 1.7%, crude ash 0.3%, sodium 0.05%, potassium 0%, sulphur 0%, chloride 0%, magnesium 0%, calcium 0%, phosphorus 0%.
This tasty gel can be mixed with food, but it is so palatable that most animals will lick it as is.
Please note - this supplement should be given to animals who have developed struvite crystals/stones. If unsure of which type of bladder stone or urinary crystals your pet was diagnosed with, you should seek advise from your veterinary surgeon.
Cats:
Reduce existing struvite: ½ to 1 teaspoon (3-6 g) twice daily.
Maintenance: ½ to 1 teaspoon (3-6 g) two to three times a week.
OR as directed by your veterinary surgeon.
Dogs:
Reduce existing struvite: ½ to 3 teaspoons (depending on the weight of the animal) twice daily.
Maintenance: ½ to 3 teaspoons (depending on the weight of the animal) two to three times per week.
