What is CheckUp for Dogs?
CheckUp kit has been designed to monitor your pets general wellness in-between vet visits, or when a vet requires frequent urine collection.
CheckUp kit is ideal for the following:
Monitoring Diets such as specialty, prescription or raw diets.
Confirm a prescribed treatment, especially for UTIs.
Monitoring chronic conditions such as Diabetes, Renal Failure, Chronic UTI.
Identifying health changes in-between vet visits.
This kit can detect the most common issues affecting domestic cats. These include: High glucose levels, Kidney failure, Urinary tract infection (UTI), and Blood in the urine.
The non-invasive method for sample collection within this pack ensures minimal stress to your pet, and ensures a clean, uncontaminated sample.
The Telescopic pole extends to 60cm (not including the arm length of the person conducting the test). This allows pet owners to maintain a comfortable distance from the dog, avoiding any mess or interference with the dog.
Please Note: CheckUp is not an alternative to visiting the vets. It should be used in conjunction with regular vet appointments.

How do I use CheckUp for Dogs?
Attach the metal ring to the telescopic pole. Extend the pole fully, then place the disposable cup inside the metal ring.
It is recommended that dogs be kept on non-retractable, short leads for the sample collection to ensure the pet owner is near the dog when urination begins.
Remove the cup lid and ensure the cup is clean inside.
While the dog is urinating, catch a sample by placing the cup into the urine stream. Once the sample has been collected, place the lid back onto the cup to ensure easy, clean, and uncontaminated transport home.
Using the pipette, fill the vial to approximately ¾ capacity with the sample. Ensure there is enough to submerge the squares on the testing trip fully.
Ensuring all 4 squares are submerged fully, dip the testing strip into the sample for 2 seconds. Place the cap onto the vial for further use.
Quickly place the diagnostic strip in the space provided on the reading card. It is extremely important to read the results according to the outline’s time frames; otherwise inaccurate results may occur.
Please note that the colours on the diagnostic strip will continually change – it may be easier to circle the result at the time specified to accurately recall each test result later.
If required, the sample can be kept for further use or given to your vet for further analysis. Simply close the vial tightly with the cap and place in the fridge. Refrigerated samples can be sent for further evaluation for up to 48 hours after the sample was collected.
If the test shows any positive results, or you suspect your pet to be suffering from any of the conditions stated (even if a test result is negative), a vet should be consulted immediately.
CheckUp is not designed to replace a visit to the veterinarian.
CheckUp should be used to monitor existing conditions and treatment plans as required by a vet, or to check in on your pet’s health in between annuals.
CheckUp is a detection tool, and does not provide a medication for a condition.
If someone has a positive reading on a test, or suspects their pet is suffering from any condition even if a test is negative, they should call their veterinarian immediately.
