In horses, the gastric mucosa is often affected by the highly acidic environment of the stomach, particularly during exercise or when the animal is stressed. Acidity may affect the horse’s quality of life, its ability to absorb food and, of course, its performance. These critical periods therefore require specific nutritional support.
EKYGARD has been supporting horse’s gastric comfort for over 10 years. Its comprehensive formula contains clay, pectin, lecithin and lithothamnion, while pre and probiotics balance intestinal flora. This formula contains extracts of Aloe Vera, Althaea officinalis and fenugreek, which is regarded as horses’ favourite plant and optimises feed intake.

Raw materials: Lithothamnion, pectin, sugar beet molasses, alfalfa, marsh mallow (Althaea officinalis), brewer's yeast, fish hydrolysate, fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum) marine algae, ispaghul, aloe (Aloe vera).

Adult horses: 2 level measure morning and evening.
Foals: 1 measure morning and evening. EKYGARD can be given all year round.
Plan ahead for acidity peaks, including during transportation and competition, and when the horse is on medication. Give EKYGARD a minimum of three to four days before and one week after these periods.
